Samsung is set to launch its Galaxy S26 series early next year. According to reports so far, the series will feature the Exynos 2600 processor in select European and Asian markets, while Snapdragon variants will be used in the US and China. Recent developments have shed light on the GPU capabilities of the Exynos 2600 chip.
Exynos 2600 outperforms Snapdragon 8 Elite in 3DMark benchmark
Trusted industry sources shared an image showing that the Exynos 2600 scored 3,135 points on the 3DMark Steel Nomad Light test. This score is approximately 15% higher than that of the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s GPU. Based on this single benchmark, it appears that the Exynos 2600’s Xclipse 960 GPU may outperform the current Snapdragon flagship chipset.
However, there are important considerations to keep in mind. The chip was tested on a dedicated test platform, which usually features advanced cooling systems, allowing for higher performance scores than what would typically be achievable in smartphones. Therefore, it’s wise to approach this score with some caution.
Additionally, the Exynos 2600 recently underwent Geekbench 6.4 testing, where it scored 2,155 in single-core tests and 7,788 in multi-core tests. For comparison, the Snapdragon Elite 2 achieves over 4,000 points in single-core and more than 11,000 points in multi-core tests.
